Web: www.YourNYhome.com GOUVERNEUR,
NY, NOVEMBER 30, 2006: The Staff and Management of Butternut
Hill invite the public to their opening ceremony on December
8th starting at 3pm ending at 5pm. Butternut Hill, a new
housing complex is now available for rent in Gouverneur.
This complex, known as Butternut Hill, is being completely
renovated and upgraded for those seeking high quality
housing in the North Country. Butternut Hill
(formerly known as Quarry Lanes) is a residential townhouse
complex comprised of 40 two & three bedroom homes located at
154 Hailesboro Street, Gouverneur, NY. Peter Hoffman of YNGH
LLC, who recently acquired the property, will be in
attendance to greet and welcome the community and
prospective residents. Spacious townhouses, well manicured
grounds and location make Butternut Hill an ideal setting
for families, military members of nearby Fort Drum and other
professionals. On October 7, 2006, St.
Lawrence County auctioned off what is now known as Butternut
Hill to the highest bidder. The former owner of Butternut
Hill failed to pay real property taxes and eventually
defaulted. This formerly dilapidated property is now being
converted into desirable residential housing.
Peter Hoffman is a native New Yorker and resident of New
York City. He has been a student landlord in Potsdam, NY
since graduating as an electrical and computer engineering
student from Clarkson University in 1983. Over the
intervening years, Peter has expanded his North Country real
property portfolio to include properties in Norwood, Canton
and now Gouverneur. During, what Peter calls “his day job”,
he owns and operates a Private Investigative agency, Subtle
Investigations Corp (www.subtleinvestigations.com) based in New York City specializing in
commercial frauds investigations for nearly two decades.
CEC Development LLC, owned by Andrew Reed of Norwood, NY, is
the Project Manager responsible for the renovations and
upgrades which are currently underway. CEC
has been associated with Peter Hoffman for over two years
has been wholly responsible for the successful upgrade and
maintenance of all of Peter Hoffman’s properties in the
North Country. The revitalization of many
towns and villages in the North Country is a prime objective
of many of these communities. It is the hope of Butternut
Hill management, with the support and cooperation of the
Village, Town and County leadership, that the elegant and
comprehensive renovations as well as the nearly immediate
re-opening of the complex, will help support the
revitalization of the community. An influx of families and
of commerce to the Village of Gouverneur, as well as the
community at large, should further support that goal.
The Opening Ceremony will be held from 3-5pm on Friday,
December 8, 2006. Gouverneur Town and Village as well as St.
Lawrence County officials will be in attendance. During the
ceremony, ownership will transfer from the County by the St.
Lawrence County Treasurer, Hon. Robert O. McNeil to the new
owner, YNGH, LLC. Please join the Butternut
Hill family in celebrating the transfer and the opening.
Food, drink and music will be provided to mark the occasion.
Tours of the property and remodeled units will be offered. |
